Reserves - Information for SoE faculty
To submit a request:
- Fill out and submit our online form OR
- Fill out our printable form and submit it to Donna Meicher in the CIMC.
Guidelines are as follows:
- Only required readings will be placed on reserve.
- Multiple copies of reserves are kept to a minimum, due to budget restraints.
- We cannot scan or use photocopies of entire books or entire issues of a journal, according to the Fair Use provisions of the U.S. Copyright Code.
- You may place personal copies on reserve; the CIMC is not responsible for damage or loss.
- Materials will be purchased for reserve if they fall within the scope of CIMC Collection Development policies.
- You must provide your own copies of articles to be put on reserve.
- Please provide a table of contents or syllabus.
- Upon request, reserve readings can be scanned and processed for electronic access, which is restricted to students enrolled in the course. (The author and title of the book/journal, copyright date and copyright holder must be provided with each chapter/article submitted).
- Electronic reserves will normally be processed as PDF image files. If you have students with special needs, please provide them with a copy of the readings and they can have them processed as needed.
- All reserve requests will be processed in the order received. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for processing.
- Library resources and instruction resources will be posted on Library Course Pages.
- Course Reserves are provided in Paper, Media or Electronic Formats.
