Meet the TEL Project Team

Jo Ann Carr,
project lead


Jo Ann is director of the CIMC and IMDC and chairs the School of Education ITPAC committee. A member of the writing team for Wisconsn's Model Academic Standards for Information and Technology Literacy, her areas of focus are information and technology integration standards in K12 and higher education. Jo Ann is also involved in a UW System study group on the 21st Century Skills Project and as President Elect of the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association, leads explorations of creating intersections among the content areas, information and technology literacies, and technology services.

Catherine


Catherine Stephens, TEL coordinator
Catherine provides instructional technology support for School of Education faculty and helps integrate technology into teacher education curriculum for the SoE. Special focus areas include avenues for collaboration and knowledge sharing, online curriculum, teaching and learning with web tools including Learn@UW, Moodle, Concept Maps, and Second Life. Catherine earned her MA in Education with an instructional technology emphasis from Edgewood College; a BA in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Teaching Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
