"Another year over ... a new one just begun ..."
... are lyrics sung to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1971 Happy Christmas melody. During the recent "year over", CIMC staff have worked to design and create displays that are of interest to all School of Education students, faculty, staff, and visiting educators --- displays that we hope have acquainted you with the breadth and depth of CIMC resources while sparking your interest in utilizing these resources beyond your study and project requirements. We look forward to continuing this creative process during the new year "just begun."
CIMC staff members are focused on insuring that the time you spend here is pleasurable, productive, and relevant to your studies and interests. With this in mind, we invite you to stop by the Reference Desk and speak with the Librarian on duty to share ideas you might have for possible future CIMC displays. We would be delighted to create displays that spotlight topics you are interested in.
We are excited about your return to the CIMC for the upcoming Spring semester --- hopefully, relaxed and refreshed from your holiday break --- and we look forward to offering you a new round of monthly displays showcasing CIMC collection items focused on supporting your academic and professional success.
Happy New Year from all of us here at the CIMC! We look forward to seeing you again in 2008!

CIMC Welcomes New Faces at the Reference Desk
Patrons visiting the CIMC during the coming Spring semester will be greeted by two new faces at the CIMC Reference Desk. Elissa Purvis and KeliAnn Trowbridge, both second year graduate students in the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) program here at UW-Madison, will be providing reference assistance to patrons as the two newly hired CIMC Information Services Project Assistants.
Perhaps some of you might recognize KeliAnn and Elissa from their previous work at the Circulation Desk. We are delighted that they will now be sharing their talents, their library and teacher education experience, and their knowledge of the CIMC with patrons as the newest members of our Reference staff.
Welcome to the Reference Desk, Elissa and KeliAnn!
