Education Research with the Big6™
The Big6™ is an information literacy model developed by librarians Michael B. Eisenberg and Robert E. Berkowitz. It is widely used in schools across the country (sometimes simplified to the Super3 or elaborated into the Little12). The creators offer support information for Big6™ practitioners, an eNewsletter, and a kid-friendly website, all accessible from http://www.big6.com.
In order to assist independent research, the CIMC has re-designed its Gateway to Research in Education webpage (http://cimc.education.wisc.edu/ed_info/gateway.html) to incorporate the Big6™ information problem-solving skills. By offering source information within a research process framework, we are encouraging CIMC patrons to be critical users of information.
We welcome your feedback on this change.
