CIMC Computing Labs and Study Space
| I am writing to thank you for Friday's computer lab visit by the University Preschool Lab's Roustabouts school-age summer program. We were able to use the lab as part of an author study, which added a richness that we couldn't have achieved without the CIMC's offerings. The kids enjoyed video clips on the presenter and interacting with related computer websites and activities.

Laptops available for for CIMC classrooms
A set of 8 dual-boot laptops are also available to increase the number of student computers in any of the CIMC classrooms. The laptops can be reserved with any of the four classrooms: 330, 346, 348, and 356. These Apple MacBook Pro 15" computers run on an Intel dual-core processor at 2.33 GHz. The laptops have 2 GB of RAM, a 112 GB hard drive, and an internal optical drive for reading and writing CDs and DVDs. The software installed on the laptops will be identical to those on other lab computers.
The conference room seats up to 18. It has a computer workstation, computer projector, VCR, as well as Ethernet access.

The 4th floor instructional alcove seats up to 45.. A computer workstation is available for checkout from the circulation desk. It consists of a PC with internet access and a computer projector.
CIMC Study Space
Individuals looking for quiet study areas should use the 4th floor instruction alcove when available or the study area in the southeast corner of the fourth floor. Study areas on the 3rd floor are often used by groups working on collaborative activities
Groups are welcome to use study tables on the third floor of the CIMC. In addition, groups may reserve our conference room 302 or room 332 for group study. See our online reservation form.
